The problem

You have read everything. You still don't feel sure in the moment.

There is more parenting advice available than ever. Books, podcasts, courses, Instagram accounts, Facebook groups. You have consumed a lot of it.

And still, when your child is falling apart, when you feel that surge in your body, when the day has already been too long and someone needs something from you right now, you freeze. Or you react. And then you feel terrible about it.

That is not because you haven't read enough. It is because the advice you have read was not built for that exact moment.

Mum Wise is.

  • "I know what I am supposed to do. I just can't access it when I am activated."
  • "Every expert contradicts the last one. I don't know what to trust anymore."
  • "I have done courses, read the books, and I still feel like I am winging it every day."
  • "By the time I find the answer, the moment is over and I have already reacted."
  • "I just need someone to tell me what to do right now, without making me feel judged."

Help me wil my 4 year olds adhd behaviour
1:22 PM
You are not alone in this, and you are not failing. A lot of what looks like "ADHD behaviour" at four is your child's nervous system telling you it is overloaded or a need is not being met yet.

Become a behaviour detective first. Look underneath. At this age, "naughty" is usually overstimulated, tired, hungry, or done. One mum realised her child's supermarket meltdowns were sensory overload, not defiance. When she addressed that, things shifted.

Movement and sensory needs matter. Build in regular physical activity before you need calm. Notice what sets him off. Reduce the sensory load where you can. Predictable routines help a wired nervous system relax.

Co-regulation before anything else. At four, he cannot calm down alone. He needs to borrow your calm. Stay close, name what you see: "That was a lot. You are feeling all mixed up right now." Then wait. Don't rush it.

If you need a script for a hard moment:
Simple: "You're having a hard time. I'm here."
With more: "It's hard when your body feels busy. Let's take some big breaths together."

You are not a bad mother. You are a nervous system learning something new.

Want me to help you tweak one of these scripts to sound more like you? Or a small thing to try this week?

Why the gap remains

You have tried everything. Here is why it hasn't closed the gap.

This is not about effort. It is about timing and fit.

Your therapist or psychologist
Invaluable for deep work. But it's Wednesday and your session was Monday. Mum Wise fills the space in between.

Google and generic AI
Generic advice that doesn't know your nervous system, your child, or your history. Mum Wise is informed by real professional practice, not the internet.

💕
Your mum, your partner, your friends

What it feels like to have this in your pocket

I wasn't alone anymore. Something shifted in how I was approaching the hard moments. I actually had somewhere to turn when things fell apart.

Mother of two boys

I could just ask and get help right then. Not tomorrow, not at my next appointment. Right in the middle of it. That changed everything for me.

Single parent, 7-year-old

Someone who actually understands what I am dealing with. Not generic. Not judgy. Just helpful in the way I needed it to be.

Questions

Things mothers ask before they start

No. Mum Wise is educational and supportive, not therapeutic. It is informed by Philippa's professional frameworks but it does not replace therapy, diagnose, or treat. It works well alongside therapy by giving you support in the hours and days between sessions.
ChatGPT is trained on the internet. Mum Wise is trained on Philippa Scott's specific body of professional work with mothers and families. That means the responses are grounded in a consistent, nervous system-informed, attachment-focused approach. The quality of the guidance is meaningfully different.
Not at all. That is the point. You can type exactly as you would to a friend. "My toddler is losing it and I am about to lose it too." That is enough. Mum Wise is designed for the moment, not for someone who has time to craft a careful question.
Newborns through teenagers. Parenting challenges change as children grow and Mum Wise is built to navigate all of them with a consistent, relational framework.
Yes. Mum Wise is designed as a bridge, not a replacement. Most therapy sessions happen once a week or fortnight. Mum Wise is there in the hours in between, when you need support and your therapist is not available. Many mothers find it complements their therapeutic work well.
Mum Wise is one part of what Philippa offers. If you want to go deeper, Philippa works with mothers one-on-one, including TRTP trauma resolution sessions. Visit fantasticfuture.com.au to explore your options.
After your 14 days, your subscription continues at $9 AUD per month. You can cancel at any time before your trial ends and you will not be charged. No pressure, no complicated cancellation process.
